THE PLOT:
Fifty years ago, the first Godzilla was killed using the bio-weapon called the Oxygen Destroyer also taking the life of the
inventor. Who sacrificed himself in order to keep the weapon out of anyone else's hands.
But there was an unforseen side effect. It killed every living thing in the water except one thing, microscopic lifeforms,
instead it mutated them.
To make things worse, a super atomic bomb was tested and both Godzillas were way too close, Junior grew up due to aborbing
the radiation. But senior, he's dangerously close to meltdown, and if he isn't either killed or cooled off before meltdown,
it would spell the end of the world.
So a giant mutant microbe might destroy the Earth or Godzilla will. Can Junior defeat the powerful giant Destroyah?
Or will it matter after Senior Godzilla goes boom?
ZEDD'S OPINION:
I understand why they wanted to kill Godzilla, either kill him or save him. But something has to be done. I liked the Destroyah
design. So far one of the best in the series. I give GODZILLA VS. DESTROYAH...8 STARS
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree with Zedd, it's very exciting. But it also can be sad at points. I'm going to go into details, but it can touch
anyone who care for Godzilla. I also agree about the Destroyah design, even though the part where the Japanese SWAT was hunting
in the sewer was somewhat like ALIENS. But not enough to destroy it. I give it...7 STARS
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ HELP GODZILLA (Instead let's kill the monster)
+ STORY (Mostly, the story works)
+ DESTROYAH (We both liked the Destroyah design)
+ ACTION (Plenty of explosions to go around)
+ TOUCHING (Also some sad moments)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- ALIENS RIP-OFF (When SWAT hunted the Destroyahs in the sewer kind of looked like the movie ALIENS.)
AND FIANLLY....
- FAN BASED (If you aren't big on Godzilla or giant monsters in general. Then this may not be the movie for you.)
