THE PLOT:
Deep within the ocean depths lays the skeletal remains of the first Godzilla, dead these many decades. The Anti-Godzilla
squad retrieves it and studies it to create a new more powerful Mechagodzilla in order to take Godzilla out once and for all.
They hire a crack team, each one has lost a family member to the rampaging reptile at one time or the other and all want
one thing, revenge.
But does revenge mean breaking the laws of nature and can they control this massive machine monster they create or is
there a heart of darkness inside the metal. Could there be a ghost in the machine, sleeping, waiting to wake up?
ZEDD'S OPINION:
I hate it when film makers in a long movie series like this confinletely forget the older movies just to make their movie,
like GODZILLA VS. DESTROYAH in 1995, hello. The Godzilla that did all the killing is dead. He died saving the world from
the monster man created in order to stop the first Godzilla. This Godzilla may look like the old one but he had nothing to
do with it. I hate the plots where all they say is "KILL GODZILLA". That is sloppy writing and it's really getting
old. I give GODZILLA AGAINST MECHAGODZILLA 5 STARS
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree with Zedd, as you already know. I prefer my Godzillas good and my Mechagodzillas controled by alien invaders. That's
the way it should be. I do like the new Godzilla design, much better then in GODZILLA VS. MECHAGODZILLA II. But again the
whole "KILL GODZILLA" is getting old. I too give it a mere 5 STARS
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ MECHAGODZILLA (The new and improved Mechagodzilla is allot cooler then the last one)
+ DUBBING (The voice over actors that did the dubbing did a good job)
+ EFFECTS (The effects are good in this one)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- KILL GODZILLA (Have they forgot that this is a different Godzilla)
AND FIANLLY....
- FAN BASED (If you don't like giant monster movies, then this isn't for you)
