THE PLOT:
Ichiro Miki was an average boy growing up in Tokyo. Ichiro's parents were hard working people who didn't have much time
for him. There was also Gabara the local bully who loved picking on Ichiro. So to escape his problems and loneliness, Ichiro
dreams of going to the one place he can be free. Monster Island, there is has a good friend in Minya, the Son of Godzilla.
In Ichiro's dream Minya can be Ichiro's size. But Minya has a Gabara has a bully of his own, also named Gabara. But
this Gabara is a giant green Monster with electric powers and Poppa Godzilla tells him to fight his own battles. Now things
get complicated in the real world as the abandoned house that Ichiro uses as a playhouse becomes the hide out of dangerous
bank robbers and wants to rub out Ichiro for seeing their faces.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Okay, even though there are some flaws with this one it remains one of my favorite of the sixties and I'll tell you why. Gabara
is one of the coolest designs in the sixties since Ghidorah. Plus, I like seeing little Minya human size, I always suspected
there was a child in that suit and watching this movie confirms that theory. The story is good and the effects are great.
Now I really wish it was more then just his imagination, that's complaint one, and complaint two is all the stock footage
they used from Son Of Godzilla and Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monsters. True Godzilla fans will recognize these scenes. I like this
movie even with it's flaws and I give it a big eight Stars.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree with Zedd on the negative points. Since the movie is kind of short at around 70 minutes, the stock footage felt like
unneeded padding. As big of a genius Honda was he could have done better, but I suppose he could have done worse. I also
kind of agree with the possitive things he said on the movie. But if you don't like giant monsters, islands or little boys
using their imagination to fight bank robbers, then this isn't for you. I give it...6 STARS.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (The story of overcoming bullies and bank robbers is good.)
+ GABARA (Zedd loves the look of Gabara.)
+ EFFECTS (The effects are perfect for the time.)
+ MINI-MINYA (It was interesting to see Minya human size.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- SHORT (At around 70 Minutes, too short for stock-footage.)
- STOCK-FOOTAGE (Voltron hated all the stock-footage from other Godzilla movies.)
- DREAMS (We wished he was atro-projecting or something more real then just is imagination.)
...AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If you don't like islands, Godzilla or boys standing up to Bank Robbers, then this isn't the movie for you.)
