THE PLOT:
A new monster has emerged after an Arctic nuclear bomb test. A dinosaur named Gigantis, but a new Godzilla also emerged from
ice.
Soon the monsters meet for fight and Tokyo has became the battlefield and the human race might be the big loser.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Okay, perhaps they should have slowed down and didn't rush this sequel. For there are lots of problems with it, one, they
still look like muppets in the close ups and what's up with the speeding up the fight scenes between Godzilla and Gigantis?
Sped up like that destroys the illusions of size and weight. It turns a serious fight into something goofy and that is something
I cannot forgive. 2 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:
In a battle between titans like Godzilla and Angilis or Gigantis in this case you don't want to dumb it down and that is what
speeding up the fights did, dumb it down. I thought it was something the Americans did but I was shocked to find it in the
Japanese subtitled version which is a disappointment. The story basically okay, but that ruins it for me. 1 1/2 STARS

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ GIGANTIS (A cool new monster that will become a Godzilla family.)
+ STORY (The story resurrects a new Godzilla.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- HAND PUPPETS (The whole muppet look doesn't work.)
- SPED UP FIGHT SCENES (What was that about?)
- TOO FAST (They should have waited longer to perfect the technology.)
...AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If you aren't into the Godzilla flicks, then this isn't for you.)
